As of each of us thin blooded Floridians are, we at Council Growers are very happy that spring is finally here. I think we skipped spring really and are headed straight to summer. Your yards should all be perking up, if they are not, give us a call. We see more and more people switching their homes to our EMPIRE Turf or ECOTURF Perennial Peanut in the Tampa Bay Area. There are great places for each in the home landscape. A bit of fairly recent news, recent legislation passed allowing you to use Florida friendly plants in your landscape versus what your homeowner's association has mandated in the past. We understand the position of both parties, as we at Council Growers understand it- everything we grow here at the farm is considered Florida friendly including our Sapphire St. Augustine. We have plenty of literature on all of our grasses and groundcovers that should be pretty convincing to a HOA as to your choice to change your lawn. We will also be glad to speak to anyone about the advantages of using the right plant in the right place. As always thanks for your continued patronage from the Councils and our staff.
